Couch Surfing- Stay with a friend and stay in contact the primary contact.

Homeless is defined as being unsheltered, staying on someone’s couch, staying in a place not fit for habitation, or in a situation where there is exploitation. The Youth Outreach worker will start the intake process by connecting, building the relationship, and understanding needs. Staff will check on the access to basics like food, immediate health needs, and housing.
If the young person, under 19 years of age is connected to Child Welfare (and has a Social Worker), contact the social worker before you do anything.
